Staying Alive

The "Staying Alive" education program is provided in schools and community groups throughout Queensland. The education program is provided free of charge and covers a number of important topics including rail safety and security. The program is about reinforcing rail safety concepts and rules with a whole of school approach.

Secondary schools are catered for with assembly addresses as well as the "Staying Alive" program.

Safecity 

Safecity is an education program aimed at Level 4 school students providing them with facets of safe behaviours in their community. Partners include Queensland (Qld) Fire and Rescue, Queensland Police, Department of Industrial Relations, Pine Rivers Shire Council, Meals on Wheels and Qld Industrial Relations Department.

Rail Connections 

QR and Duo Publications have combined to develop "Rail Connections", a rail based teachers resource package for schools in Qld. The package provides outcomes focused as per the current curriculum requirements in Queensland and integrated across all Key Learning Areas (KLA's). The package covers learning levels Pre Year 1 to Level 6.

This package is currently being developed and will be distributed free to state and private schools in 2005.
