Recruitment Process

 

Step 1:   Application completed and submitted (closing date Monday 16 June 2008).

Step 2:   Shortlisting process where panel verifies employment elegibility of applicants.  Numeracy & Literacy assessments are scheduled for applicants.  (June / July 2008)

Step 3:   Applicants undertake the Numeracy & Literacy assessment required by their chosen apprenticeship. (July 2008) 

Step 4:   Candidates will be interviewd at the location marked on their apprenticeship application.  Candidates will be responsible for their own transport to and from the interview. (July / August 2008)

Step 5:   Candidates successful in meeting assessment and interview requirements will undergo medical assessment to determine whether they are fit to undertake genuine requirements of the apprenticeship role.  (August 2008)

Step 6:   Successful candidates notified and offered an apprenticeship with QR. (August 2008)

Step 7:   Successful candidates provided with a QR employment contract. (August 2008)

Step 8:   Apprentices are invited to events leading up to the commencement of their apprenticeship (Uniform fittings, meet and greets) to welcome them to QR.  (August / December 2008)

Step 9:   Apprentices commence induction with QR. (January 2009)

Step 10: Apprentices commence work with QR.  (January 2009).
