The dedicated tourism arm of QR, Traveltrain Holidays offers the largest and most comprehensive network of long distance and tourist trains in Australia, delivering travel experiences to suit every traveller.

Services provided by passenger services include:

• QR Citytrain: South East Queensland’s suburban and inter-urban commuter rail service.
• Traveltrain Holidays: QR’s long-distance passenger rail services throughout Queensland.
• Tourist Trains: The Kuranda Scenic Railway operating between Cairns and Kuranda; the Normanton to Croydon Gulflander; and the Cairns to Forsayth Savannahlander.
• Heritage Trains: QR’s Heritage Train excursions enable customers to relive train travel from the past.           

Track Access for our narrow, standard and dual gauge network

Queensland’s vast rail network is owned by QR and supported by state of the art infrastructure and systems. The rail network is valued at approximately $AUD3.8 billion. This network is Australia’s largest rail network and is managed by QR’s Network Access business in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Competition Authority.
